1.Which other costs I have to worry about during my holiday? And is it expensive?
Your Bali Villa includes already so much, that the extra costs are really pocket-friendly.
Dining out: count on 3 USD per person for a simple meal up to 25 USD for an exquisite dinner.
A metered taxi is cheap; around 5 USD for a 20 kms (12 mile) drive.
The supermarket is roughly 40% cheaper compared with Western countries. However, due to import taxes, imported goods and food are expensive.
Car rental? A brand new car, with driver, around 40 USD a day.

2.I want to bring souvenirs home. What is the best buy in Bali?
First and for all: handicrafts. Made out of wood, fabric, glass, metal; it’s cheap, usually well made and often innovative.
Clothes in all kinds; batik, Balinese embroidery, branded (however often fake) jeans etc.
For eatables check the custom regulations first in your own country. Special are the famous Balinese coffee, roasted peanuts, and of course the Balinese liquor.

3.What are the advantages of renting a private villa?
There are many reasons:–

1. In the best hotel, despite you would get the best room amenities, you still have to share hotel facilities with other guests. In Bali private villa, you can get more space, more comfort, more personalized service, and many more because all facilities such as kitchen, swimming pool, and lounge could be used privately and all staff will dedicate their service only for satisfaction of you, your family, and your friends. Savor the whole time without the presence of anyone else only in a private villa.

2. Yes, a hotel is cheaper than a private villa. Nevertheless dwelling in a Bali private villa is more value for your money. You will stay in a countryside area far from bustling city, will be surrounded by Balinese traditional activities, will get more facilities, and surely the most important is you will obviously get a lot of privacy; all these things cannot be given even by best hotel. Meanwhile some hotels codify that the cost is counted per person; it definitely will be more expensive than villas.

3. Having vacation in Bali private villa will be at least as relaxing as in your own home. Every needs of you or your family or friends will be catered by loyal staff and what you have to do in villa is just relaxing and relish each of the private facilities. If there are many advantages offered by a villa, why should one stay in a hotel?

4.What else is different from staying in a hotel?

Villas in Bali have a minimum stay for a week or three days, depending on the villa. Of course you will get the advantage if you stay in a villa during days exceeding the minimum stay. However renting villa for one or two nights is allowed in which case a surcharge is applicable.

Nowadays, many Bali villas are equipped with generator in case there is a power failure you can still relish your holiday in villa. But if you stay in a villa in which a generator is not available just relax, even dinner with candles will be more romantic or you can relax in a poolside while enjoying the bright stars.

5.What is the difference between renting a villa in Bali and villa rental in other parts of the world?

Comparing to good Caribbean Villas which price is higher with only 4-5 domestic staff, a top Bali villa’s rental rates is considered cheaper with minimum around-the-clock 2-3 staff and completed with professional cooks, gardener, housekeeper, and many more.

Comparing to villa rental agents in Barbados or Mustique in which tip is suggested 10% from rental fee, in Bali tipping is not necessary but appreciated. For your information, in Bali 2%-3% from rental fee for tip is considered high

Comparing to villas in Europe and America including Hawaii which villa rental refers to self-service holiday, staying in Bali villa enable you to indulge maximally because there is a butler and other staff who take care the villa and your needs. Don’t expect any service in a villa in Europe or America unless you pay extra cost besides you have to pay villa rental a definitely higher than Bali.

When you expect to dwell in 1 or 2-bedroom villa the rate will be in the range of 150-400 USD per day. Indeed there are many villas available but when we compare this to the number of tourists coming to Bali, the availability is still rather small. 20.This is my first trip to Indonesia. Which precautions I have to take?

First of all important is to know that your foreign passport has to be valid at least 6 months after entering Indonesia. Get information at the Indonesian embassy in your country about visa. You will be residing in a tropical climate, so even at night the temperature is still comfortable.A raincoat and umbrella might be a useful accessory to bring with you. It can rain cats and dogs in the tropics.

Bali is basically malaria free. Dengue fever occurs but not frequently. Consult your doctor a couple of weeks prior to departure. In any case don’t bring or try to bring drugs with you. All drug use is considered a heavy crime in Indonesia.

Are you on medical prescription? Wise to bring your own medicines with you together with the bill from the pharmacy.

21.Can I use my own mobile phone in Indonesia?
Yes, sure you can. All big providers in Indonesia have roaming agreements with almost all major providers overseas. Worth to try, and definitely cheaper, is buying a local SIM card in Indonesia. You won’t have expensive roaming costs, and sending international text messages will not cost more than 500 Rupiah.

22.Is Indonesia, and particularly Bali dangerous?
We all remember the tragic incidents know as the BALI BOMBING.
Since that time a lot has changed, and the island of Bali is considered as one of the safest places in Indonesia. Strolling around usually is safe, and the criminality rates are rather low on Bali.
Within your own villa you are safe guarded by own security personal and most compounds are duly fenced.

23.Is Bali over crowded?

Don’t compare Bali with Miami or Benidorm or Marbella. The highest buildings are only 6 floors high and surrounded by lush greenery. Nowadays high rise buildings are not constructed anymore.

The south with the famous tourist areas like Kuta, Seminyak etc are busy indeed, but a doorstep away you might think you’ve arrived in a different world. Quiet, peaceful, green, wide sceneries, in short…..an oasis of tranquility.

Even if you travel further to the North, Bali is amazingly empty, abandoned beaches, swimming with the dolphins. It’s still possible in Bali.

24.I get seriously ill during my stay. How is the medical care in Bali?
In Denpasar, Bali’s capital, are well equipped international hospitals available. In general it is not necessary to queue; at the day clinic or first aid are doctors available around the clock.
In serious cases it is good to know that Bali has direct flight connections with Australia and Singapore.
Dentistry is in general very good.
